Cal Lutheran Choir to perform "Make Music Sweet"

Sunday, October 20th, 2013, 2pm - The Cal Lutheran Choir, under the direction of Wyant Morton, will perform Make Music Sweet for SATB choir and piano.  This three-movement work uses the poetry of James Joyce from his collection Chamber Music.

The performance will take place in the campus chapel at Cal Lutheran University, located south of Olsen Road near Campus Drive on the Thousand Oaks campus. Additional parking is available at the corner of Olsen Road and Mountclef Boulevard.

Premiere of "Vive la Liberte" in Fayetteville

The Methodist University Chorale, under the direction of Michael Martin, perform the premiere of Vive la Liberte! for SATB choir, flute, percussion, and piano during the dedication of the Lafayette Plaza in Fayetteville, North Carolina in September 2013.

And - Jenni meets with Hank Parfitt in Long Beach, California - he is the President of the Board of the Lafayette Society of Fayetteville which originally commissioned Jenni to write the 2 part treble version of this work, premiered in 2007!

 

PEN Trio to premiere new reed trio

The PEN Trio (Nora Lewis, oboe, Phillip O. Paglialonga, clarinet, and Eric Van der Veer Varner, bassoon) will premiere Jenni's new reed trio Found Objects: On the Beach during their fall tour.  This six-movement work tells of objects found at the beach, from different colored sea glass to feathers, shells, and stones.  

From September 30th - October 5th they perform at Cincinnati Conservatory, Ohio State, Ohio University, Miami University, and Wright State University and will give the premiere performances of this new reed trio.
