Found Objects: New Reed Trio

Found Objects: On the Beach for Oboe, Clarinet & Bassoon

Jenni's newest work for Reed Trio tells of finding objects on the beach - from tumbled stones to sea glass; from driftwood to black feathers on the sand and the seashells that populate the beach as far as the eye can see.

Premiered by the PEN Trio (Nora Lewis-oboe, Phillip Paglialonga-clarinet, and Eric Van der Veer Varner-bassoon), this work is published by TrevCo Music Publishing on the new PEN Trio Collection Series!

"Vive la Liberté" for SATB, flute, percussion, and piano

"Vive la Liberte" for SATB, flute, percussion, and piano

Originally commissioned for Two-Part Treble choir, flute, percussion, and piano, this new version is more challenging for the intermediate/advanced choir.

Vive la Liberté was commissioned to celebrate the life of the Marquis de Lafayette and his constant belief in liberty and freedom for all people. His involvement in this quest stretched from the American Revolution through the French Revolution and beyond.Commissioned by the Committee of Arrangements for the 250th Birthday celebration of the Marquis de Lafayette in Fayetteville, North Carolina in 2007, the two part version has received performances each year at the celebration, and the SATB version received its premiere in September of 2013.

Love Songs for Soprano and Oboe to be performed at Ball State University

Jenni's new work Love Songs, commissioned by Aryn Day Sweeney - Assistant professor of music performance (oboe) at Ball State University with soprano Yoko Shimazaki-Kilburn-soprano and Instructor of Music Performance at Ball State University, will be performed during the 2014 Society of Composers National Conference at Ball State University on
Thursday, March 20th, 2014 at 10 am.  

The work will use texts of the Native American Indians to tell a love story of family, romance, loss of love, and the love of the land. 

                A loon I thought it was

                       but it was my love's splashing oar...
