Update on current projects

Jenni's Current Projects:

Final editing of score and parts for We Are Joy, a work commissioned by the Long Beach Camerata Singers under the direction of Dr. Robert Istad.  This work, with original text by Oliver Mayer, will receive its world premiere in October of 2015 in Long Beach, California. More details to come!

A new work for Flute choir and SATB choir commissioned by the Holland Chorale under the direction of Meredith Bowen, Ars Voce under the direction of Mark Wells, and the West Michigan Flute Association under the direction of Julie Sooy. Original text written by Oliver Mayer celebrates the Latino community in West Michigan as well as the spirit of the Latino culture in the United States. 

Double Helix for bassoon and piano was just completed by Jenni and was commissioned by bassoonist Christin Schillinger.  This work draws its inspiration from the sculpture of the same name by Long Beach sculptor Susan Hawkins. This work will receive its premiere this summer.


New work published by Imagine Music

Colored Stones

Colored Stones for solo bassoon is now published by Imagine Music Publishing! This work is the winner of the 2014 Bassoon Chamber Music Composition Competition and will be featured as a competition piece during the 2016 Meg Quigley Vivaldi Competition and Bassoon Symposium.

This work is now recorded on the new MSR Classics release Elements  which features the winning works of the BCMCC from 2012 & 2014.





New CD Released with premiere recording of "Colored Stones"

Jenni's new work Colored Stones for solo bassoon receives its premiere recording on this MSR Classsics CD.  Performed by Susan Nelson, Jenni's work appears with other works by David Angelo Ciancaglini, Devin Farney, and Greg Steinke.

Colored Stones is the winner of the 2014 Bassoon Chamber Music Composition Competition and will be a featured competition piece for the Meg Quigley Vivaldi Competition and Bassoon Symposium in 2016. The score will be available through Imagine Music in January 2015!


New CD features "Dog Tales" for soprano, flute, clarinet, piano

Jenni's work Dog Tales for soprano, flute, clarinet and piano is featured on this new release recorded by Conundrum on Albany Records.  From the Diamond Grid was recorded in North Carolina at the gorgeous Manifold recording studio by Conundrum.  Jenni helped to produce this CD, and other composers included on this CD are Eric D. Sharp, Kenneth Froelich, Mark Carlson, Eric Knechtges, Rachel DeVore Fogarty, Mark Louis Lehman, and Igor Stravinsky.

Dog Tales was commissioned by Conundrum and is published by Graphite Publishing.
