New CD features "Dog Tales" for soprano, flute, clarinet, piano

Jenni's work Dog Tales for soprano, flute, clarinet and piano is featured on this new release recorded by Conundrum on Albany Records.  From the Diamond Grid was recorded in North Carolina at the gorgeous Manifold recording studio by Conundrum.  Jenni helped to produce this CD, and other composers included on this CD are Eric D. Sharp, Kenneth Froelich, Mark Carlson, Eric Knechtges, Rachel DeVore Fogarty, Mark Louis Lehman, and Igor Stravinsky.

Dog Tales was commissioned by Conundrum and is published by Graphite Publishing.

 

Solo Clarinet work featured on new release

 Seule is the debut solo CD of clarinettist Virginia Figueiredo.  "Seule" is a French word meaning "alone" and refers to the clarinet as a solo instrument on this CD. 

Jenni's work Starry Night for solo B-flat clarinet was written for Virginia and receives its debut recording on this CD. This three-movement work explores the starry skies, the beauty of the night, and dreaming at the sight of stars.  This work is published by Jenni Brandon Music, and the CD is available through CDBaby.com, Amazon, and iTunes.

 

"On Holt Avenue" now published by Imagine Music

On Holt Avenue for oboe and piano is now published by Imagine Music!  This work depicts daily life on the street where I used to live in Los Angeles, from the mockingbird that sang (screamed, really) at all hours of the day and night, to the view outside my window at the neighbor's lemon tree.  Four movements.

New Solo Bassoon work wins competition

Jenni's new work Colored Stones for solo bassoon is the winner of the 2014 Bassoon Chamber Music Composition Competition!  This work will be a required work for the 2016 Meg Quigley Vivaldi Competition which brings young women bassoonists together for three days of master classes, performances, and competition. 

 - Colored Stones will receive its World Premiere at the New Music Festival at Bowling Green State University, Ohio.  October 15-18, 2014

- Music will be published by Imagine Music and available by January 1st, 2015

 

- A recording will be available on the BCMCC’s newest CD, due to release in January, 2015 through MSR Classics!
